What Saturdays Were Made For...

I don't think there are words to describe how perfect this morning was...but let me try!

The blossoms are starting to fall from the trees - it's raining petals! Beautiful, pink, soft petals. Due kept getting them stuck on his nose! I found this pretty funny!

Due's been staying with us the last couple of nights. This morning it was just Mom & Aunt Dana so after breakfast - we decided to play with Due and head off in a NEW direction! He likes routines - I like to mix it up - so we did! He seemed to like the Ramble...

We took time out to sit on a rustic bench by the water. Notice it's after 9am so we are leashed up. Plus you know me and water...I really wanted to take a dip!

We came out of the Ramble at the Bow Bridge - which is one of Mom's favorites. These next few canine-free pics are for her. She thought the floral urns on the bridge were exceptional and wanted to share them with all!

More azaleas. Its fun to see what is blooming in the Park. Every week it seems to be bursting with something different. Something beautiful.

I must admit they really were stunning. Looks like Augusta!

Tulips are always a favorite! It just screams "SPRINGTIME IN THE PARK".
We took a break on these benches before continuing home. I hope you enjoyed sharing our Saturday adventure.

Stay tuned....we stopped by a place called the "Ball Field Cafe" and although it wasn't open yet - we did talk to a couple of the staff guys and found out that 1) They open at 11am 2) YES - they will have the homemade guacamole starting May 1 and 3) YES - they do serve adult beverages.

In dog talk - what I heard was after May 1 I may get an additional late afternoon/early evening trip to the Park for a little guc & beer. (OK fine - Mom & Aunt Dana get the beer - but its right by the ball fields - so I'm thinking I'll have LOTS of ballplayers who just might need to pet me!)

NOW We're Talkin'

Yep. The sun is shining. The trees are blooming. And I'm in Central Park with my best friend, Due.

Doesn't get any better than this.

Due agrees. Look at that smile!

And then we zoom....

Ears flappin'. Airborne. Full body ZOOM!

I hope all of you were able to enjoy a little bit of the beauty of spring this weekend.
Now pass the Benadryl.

A Special Gift

Several weeks ago we (meaning I) received a special package from our friend, Farley.
Farley had a raffle to give away a Kong Toy...and we (again, meaning I) won!

Apparently Mom got a little too busy - and NEVER GAVE ME THE PACKAGE TO OPEN!
Ha! This is unacceptable behavior as far as I'm concerned.

I think this is a set-up so I let Mom open the package...hmmmmm...this could be fun!
Back off, Mom I can take it from here. It's a Froggy Kong Braid!
And look - a card - with MY name on it!
Thanks Farley - love the toy - and the card is beautiful!
I really do love my new Kong Braid Toy!
This is just what I needed to get over the mid-April rainy day blues!
Thanks Farley!

Check out Farley's blog. He always makes me smile and his peeps (meaning his Mom) take beautiful photographs.

I'm Throwing A Pity Party

Is this face pitiful enough for you? Poor me. I have issues.

Issue 1) MOM'S BACK. Now some of you might think it's sad when Mom leaves. Not so. I have such a great circle of buddies who take care of me when Mom's gone...I get spoiled rotten. Then Mom comes back. She's tired. There's no long walks. No treat baking. See what I mean.

Issue 2) NO BLOGGING. Not only do I lack the thumbs required for the actual typing involved in blogging...Mom took the computer with her to Washington...so even if I could figure out the typing with no thumbs thing...I had no computer.

Issue 3) SPRING IS GONE. It was here. The sun was shining. The flowers and trees were blooming. Now the wind is blowing, the sky is grey and it's cold enough for a fire. (OK - I must admit the fire part is pretty cool)

Issue 4) NO CENTRAL PARK...until Sunday. Looks like rain tomorrow so we will have to hold off yet another day before we get to play and romp.

All very valid reasons for me to curl up in a ball - ignore Mom - and throw myself a little celebration of self-pity.

Oh well.

Make Us Over!!!

Mom told me about a Post on Eddie Ross's blog about looking for makeover candidates. Apparently they are looking to makeover a "room" in a home in CT, NJ or NY.

She had to take a bunch of pics to submit - so I thought if I got in the photos - and had that "whoa is me" look on my face...it might help our chances.

What do you think?

Yes. I know what you're thinking. I did try to get in EVERY shot. Mom was getting a tad frustrated - what's a girl to do.....I just love the camera...and the camera loves ME!

Happy Easter

HAPPY EASTER

We were trying to take a dignified Easter portrait among the blossoms of Central Park...
but we're dogs...and had more important things to do...like PLAY!

We hope you and your families were able to enjoy a lovely holiday together...
and don't forget to PLAY!
