I love mail! Packages addressed to me just Make My Day!
Today's package was special. Not only was it for me (my favorite kind) - but it went to help a good cause (one of Mom's favorite things)
This one clearly was for me.
Although I needed a little help with the bubble wrap!
IT'S A CRAB! Mom found it on the etsy site HELP THE GULF COAST
A number of etsy artisans are donating their work to help raise funds for The National Wildlife Federation and OxFam America - and their response to the disaster in the Gulf Coast. This beauty was orderd through Handmade Louisiana and is from the shop of Natalie Fontane at Scriverner's Retreat. Check out their sites for more information.
I haven't figured out what to name this guy (and yes, all my stuffies are named). Any ideas?

Ok so a local radio station is running some commercials about the oil spill. They are funny and they are calling the oil spill (Olly the Oil Spill)

Too cute of a post!!! Thanks so much for your help and support of the Oil Spill. I just got back from doing some assessments of the shorelines of a few barrier islands. Thankfully where I was, I didn't see a lot of oil!

I noticed that Scriveners Retreat, http://www.scrivenersretreat.com/ has a great selection of toys for pets. She has several which have been donated to Handmade Louisiana, http://handmadelouisiana.etsy.com to benefit nonprofit groups working to reduce the impact of the Gulf Oil Spill. What a great thing is that!

I'm glad your pupster likes the crab I made. It's a little football-shaped, so maybe he'd like to play a squeaky game of catch with it.
