Just a quick note from Port Au Prince. The devastation is heart wrenching. Today one of our teams did a story at one of the orphanages. The children have not had food for days. We're hearing the Red Cross made their way there this afternoon.
I work with an amazing group of journalists who are working very hard to bring you these stories.

Hey Abbey-
Tell your Momma a golden retriever from Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue grew up to be a search and rescue dog and is in Haiti. So if she sees a goldie - it might be one my Momma knows.

UPDATE FROM ABBEY'S MOM:
Still in Haiti, but heading out soon.
This is a story that will stay with me for a lifetime.
I have not seen any golden rescuers - but I am on the lookout.
The footage you see at home does not come close to conveying the destruction here.
