My official name (not the registered - because even though I had papers...Mom never got around to filing them!)...Abigail Marie ....known as Abbey.
My first given name was Sunflower....but I was returned to my breeder after my first family discovered their 4 yr. old was allergic to me. Mom didn't think "Sunny" fit.
Here's the breakdown....Abigail...because Mom is a White House history buff - and Abigail Adams was the first First Lady to take up residence in the White House (besides - if she named me Martha - folks would assume it's after Stewart - not Washington).
Nicknamed "Abbey" because I'm british. Get it Abbey Road, Westminster Abbey....
Marie - because Mom always planned on giving an actual daughter that middle name. (It's her Mom's middle name). Since it just didn't seem to be in the cards for an actual 2 legged one - I got the honor instead. (Hope I make you proud Tutu!)
Of course when I'm in trouble, like most kids - I go by all THREE names. When I'm cute it's "Abaliciuos" and when Mom can't figure out what I'm up to or why - it's "Sparky the Wonder Dog".
That's my Name Game. And yours?

I'm so happy to know your first name is Abigail - I love that name :) Very cool that all of your names have special meaning to your Mom, especially Marie. You are a wonderful girl Miss Abbey...
Well I like Abilicious! It sounds like a type of coffee from Starbucks! :)
Well, that's a pretty good rundown of how you got your name. I didn't know you were British. It's been fun learning all these stories. Frankie had a pretty good idea. Hope you're having a happy 4th and keeping cool.

Connor was originally Gunner, like a gun dog, but since I live in the "ghetto", and Connor's an escape artiste, it was not a great idea to go running after him yelling "GUNNER!". I was trying to think of something that was close to Gunner and we came up with Connor. Alternately, he's the Houdini dog, since he can escape from anything, anywhere. Or Connor-pie, because it's cute. He likes to walk in the gutters, so it's also Gutter.
Love ya Abbey! Great name decisions!!
Hugs and snaggle-tooth kisses,

Abbey,
Glad to play the name game. My first name is Magnolia. My Dad wanted to call me Maggie, but needed something more formal for my papers, so he picked Magnolia. I got Marie from the same place you did, guess it makes us cousins or something. Stay cool if you can; it's pretty toasty out here in Utah
