Have no fear.
Today's visit to the vet was just routine puppy business.
I needed a couple more shots and some new heartworm meds....
and apparently a weigh-in!
I checked in at a healthy 35lbs. this afternoon.
That's 10 pounds more than I weighed on my first visit just a few weeks ago!
Ahhhh - I was such a cute little thing back then!
(And by back then - I mean LAST MONTH!)
OK - so this scale was for cats - how was I to know?
I can't even fit on it now!
Who knows - next visit I might not even fit on the table!
Note from Ellie's Mom - When I asked the vet how much she thought Ellie would weigh as a healthy adult dog - she guessed over 70lbs. When I asked why - her Mom was only 60 lbs - Dr. Parr pointed out Ellie's ENORMOUS paws!
Let's just say we think she will take after her father -
who is around 80 lbs.

You sure are growing! Plus you're looking more like a Golden and less like a puppy already. You are just beautiful, whatever your size.

Yep; you're going to be a monster. Just like my sister! Our parents (we both have the same mother and father - we're just from different litters) were fairly small; Mom only weighed 50 lbs (she's a standard poodle) and Dad is 65-70 (he's a red golden retriever). I weigh 55 lbs, but Abby (who is going to get weighed next week) is about 70, and she's only a year old. The vet thinks she's going to top out at 80! (My 'little' sister is going to weigh 25 lbs more than me?!? Eesh.)
All that aside, you are WAY TOO CUTE for your own good. Just saying... ;-)

Sam at his thinnest is a hefty 72 pounds - I always laugh when I hear the normal weight for a golden. She is so cute!

Hi there Bacon, nice to meet you! You are such a cute puppy & you're growing up fast. Your daddy must be a massive dog! My son River, is huge & heavily boned & he only weighs around 77lbs. I weigh 66lbs.
