Abbey & Wendy in Central Park, Summer 2009
I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their heartwarming thoughts and offers of condolence upon the passing of my beloved, Abbey. I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of wishes from so many. You have touched my heart. I miss her everyday - but am grateful for the memories we shared, and for the friends we've made along the way. - Wendy

Wendy, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I know how difficult it is to have to say good bye to one that is loved. I know that Abbey got a big welcome at the Rainbow Bridge and is looking down at you always. Love, Debbie
Wendy, you and Abbey touched so many of us. THANK YOU for sharing your joy (and the sorrow). The two of you were kindred spirits who reached out into the universe and found others like you.
Your photo is incredible and beautiful beyond words. Thank you for inspiring us with the celebrations of Abbey's life and the courage you have faced in her absence. As your photo shows, it's a great big world out there, but there is love to be found in it, when souls come together to revel in its mysteries and challenges together.

It's good to hear from you. Take all the time you need. We will still be here when you are ready to start Abbey's Life Lessons.

A beautiful, beautiful photo to go with lovely words. Although I didn't know Abbey well, I have known her through Sierra Rose and her mom. You and Abbey were so loved - we look forward to Abbey's life lessons.

It's important to know that there are others out there who understand how hard this all is. Thank you for sharing Abbey with us. It was wonderful getting to know her and I hope you'll keep posting and letting us know what you're up to, too.

Dear Wendy
Awesome photo. We are there with you, in a moment. Thank you for sharing your precious time with Abbey...with wit, wisdom and love. We look forward to Abbey's life lessoms; what a lovely way to start the week. We are, as Ben's Momma says, all a work in progress, and eager to learn from the wise Miss Abbey...and from you (:

Hi Wendy,
I am so sorry. That picture of the two of you in Central Park is just heartbreaking.
I am new to your blog, referred by a friend who is touched by Abbey and your story.
I can see why I was referred here. I am already touched.
Your relationship is beautiful, and what every owner strives for with their dog. What I strive for with my Simba. He is young, ignorant, rambuctious, and very much a puppy and at times I get frusterated. This has reminded me, and inspired me of how truly beautiful the relationships we have with our dogs are and how I should treasure every moment. Thank you for that, because through Abbeys life, I am sure you have changed many others.
Blessings, Prayers, and Condulences,
Paige and her Golden Pal, Simba
Thank you for sharing Abbey with us at what must have been an immensely difficult time for you.
Woof! Woof! Golden Welcome! Sending you lots of Golden Thoughts. For sure going to Central Park will never be the same ... But Abbey left such precious memories that you'll treasure forever. I got to eat bacon in memory of Abbey. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
Wendy,
We're all rooting for you and hoping that all these words (and woofs) of love and encouragement are helping to heal your broken heart and soothe the ache of loss just a little bit more every day. I like to imagine Abbey thumping her happy tail in approval, while enjoying a nice rashon of bacon :)
Wonderful picture in the park. These are the memory helpers we all try to create while they are still with us. I look back every day and smile at their portraits on the wall or a toy found under the bed. Best to you Wendy. Abbey will never be forgotten.
Wendy,
Lovely, cherished photo. More than words can descibe, we are with you in that moment. Keeping you in the embrace of friends,

Thanks for all the joy you and Abbey have brought us with this blog. I'm saddened that Abbey had to leave so soon, but appreciate the richness of the life she had. We'll enjoy continuing to read her life's lessons.
