Eh. Your Mom will get over the 'not allowed on furniture' rule pretty quickly - just keep testing the rule, and eventually she'll give up. Because next to the Big Dog Bed that the humans sleep in, the couch is the second most comfortable place in the house! :-)

Hi Ellie, so good to meet you. I think you get it already. The couch is far superior to anything else close to the floor. It has the hooman's scent on it already and when they sit down they can reach me and pet me and scratch me and rub my belly. See, told ya, you is pretty darn smart.

Yep, couch it is. My peeps had a "no couch" rule...for a day. Now I drive it 27 times a day, too and the pillows are the best. (Although, the dog bed by the fire--now, that's pretty sweet). I spied the spray bottle artillery, too. Just ignore the yucky Bitter Apple--eventually the peeps just give up. Now...about those cookies...

I vote for the couch too. Afterall, if your Mom didn't want you on it it wouldn't be so soft and cushy looking, right? I would say it looks like it was made just for you :)
