Still waiting for our first snow....but thought I'd share with you my first fire (of the season).
Although we're not roasting chestnuts at home (yet) ...they are roasting them on the streets of New York City. Not only does it look like Christmas and feel like Christmas.... with the tree vendors and chestnut roasters on the street corners of Manhattan...it smells like Christmas!!

We have never had a roasted chestnut. Are they yummy???

Very yummy...but Mom makes you sing the song..."chestnuts roasting on an open fire" while you enjoy them...really good in stuffing!
Abbey - you look stunnin' with the fire bouncing off your golden locks. Does your momma let you eat chestnuts? or do you just get teased with the smell of them.
New York and Washington are the only places that I've been to where you can find roasted chestnuts! So they always remind me of those two cities.
On the other hand, I don't like the taste at all! :)

No - I don't get to even taste them. Mom's pretty strict with my diet....I assume they're yummy since Mom loves her stuffing...and she puts them in there...with dried cranberries, apples and hot Italian sausage, homemade croutons, etc.
We is thinkin' we could put a BIG smile on your face that won't come off if you come'd over to our place and took'd a walk. We had a blizzard an' all of the schools were closed an' so was the University, WOO-HOO!
Abbey, you look so pretty all snuggled up by the fire. So nice!
Hi Abbey! Did you get to enjoy the snow we had here in NY on Sat? You got your wish!
Great window pics, BTW.
Your pal,
Sedona
