TLC

TLC comes in many forms......

Being near my love
Due has come over every day. Just having him around has been a comfort - even if I don't feel like playing. I've noticed that he's dividing his attentions between me & Mom. We both are benefiting from his brand of TLC.

Pretty flowers from Miss Dawn.....

Back Scratches from Auntie Dana....

Of course Mom needed a little TLC as well - so there was wine and
CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES from Magnolia Bakery (thanks to Aunt D)
(the biscuits were for me of course)

And fall flowers from Miss 'Liv....
Mom and I both are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love we have received.
We are relaxing. Watching as many movies as possible in a 48-hr period.
Most importantly - we are spending time with each other.

Ben - Please thank your Mom for her suggestion about rotating food. You were right. Boiled chicken was fine once. Then it was Chicken & Bacon. Somehow that didn't smell appetizing today...(which is hard to believe since BACON was involved.) Mom fixed me a bowl of scrambled eggs this afternoon...I ate the whole thing. I hear HAMBURGERS are on the list.

I'm an almost psychic beagle. I was wishing more bacon, biscuits and Due for you today but hamburger, back scratches, cupcakes, flowers, wine and friends...what an awesome Sunday for both you and your mom! Now I'm a happy beagle, too.

Just as it should be: good friends, good treats (and WINE & BACON) and most of all, LOTS of togetherness. Ben's Momma's right: variety is the spice of life. Peanut butter, icecream, grilled salmon, turkeyburgers (with bacon), mashed potatoes with cheese, scrambed eggs (with cheese), maybe even a little roast duck (hey, you live in NYC, right?) sending love, RileyRex

Due is a true friend. I"m glad he's there for you, but sorry this is hard on him, too. I guess sometimes there's no way around things being hard, but you are all staying strong as well as anyone in the world. You are always in our thoughts.

Not sure if I am more jealous of what looks like a red velvet cupcake with a nice glass of red wine or your new diet.
On your diet may I also suggest-
liverwurst wrapped in bacon;
breakfast sausages;
bacon stuffed hotdogs;
grilled cheese sandwiches;
hickory farm holiday sausage - yes it does have a use;
SPAM or Vienna Sausages- yep potted meat can be tasty.

Droolin' for you
Ben and the fellas.
PS. The peeps looked high and low for George Clooney while in LA today,I am sad to say he was not to be found. But I will have them keep lookin'.
Sleep tight Ms. Abbey - I will dream of you playin'chase with Due in your park.

When the lungs are being pressured filling the tummy makes it difficult to breathe. Lots and lots of small snacks and meals would be great. Another little hint, if rice is involved cook it in beef or chicken broth for extra taste. Chicken livers are also a big hit when we have a sick furry kid in the house. Just boil with a little salt and celery. They can be processed in the blender with a little of the water used for boiling.
